It's amazing how much people do like to go to a themed wedding!  It's much more festive and you can get your guests to participate also.

Recently, I received an invitation to a wedding and thought they did a great job on how to get their guests involved.  Along with the invite, they enclosed a short note regarding their "theme" and along with hotel information. 

They are having a Caribbean wedding theme and wrote:

We would like our guests to be comfortable so....

We are asking you to attend with a Caribbean theme in mind.

Guys: Caribbean shirts & dress pants

Ladies: Caribbean dress or same as the guys.

It was very basic and to the point! 

Youcan do the same with any theme you have in mind.  You just need tochange the introduction and then state the dress code you have inmind.  For example:

ASports theme: We would like our guests to play with us so...(or Wewould like our guests to have a ball with us...)

An African Theme: We would like our guests to be a bit wild with us so....

A Western Theme: We would like our guests to be ready for some two steppin' and smilin' so...

A Beach Theme: We would like our guests to take the plunge with us so...
